MAXAGRID ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF THE FIRST PHASE SOLUTION FOR BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS COMMERCE IN BROADCAST.

For the first time in Broadcast, radio and TV stations will now be able to provide pricing and inventory availability information directly to their customers and buyers on the Internet using existing yield management applications installed at station sites.

The result of development efforts over the last year, Maxagrid's new "WebView" for Broadcast will be unique in that buyers of broadcast time can view station avails and pricing on the Web without submitting an avails request to the station.

Mr. Jim Tiller, President of Maxagrid, said "Unlike other recent attempts which basically prolong the business-to-business process, this solution improves operational efficiencies for all parties in a Broadcast transaction. Indeed, Maxagrid has made the term 'Avails Request' obsolete!"

The "WebView" interface will display current pricing attached to availability, placing the buyer in a position to submit a reservation or order immediately and electronically to the station. Additionally, development at Maxagrid will also provide access for sellers in the field using hand-held devices such as a Palm Pilot® to confirm availability and pricing. This will literally put key Station information in the hands of the sales staff during the sales process and remove the need for confirmations while outside the station.

Specifically, the customized yield management application resident at the station controls access prior to any orders reaching the Traffic department. Sales Managers can be confident that the information displayed to the buyer represents the latest supply and demand conditions of the station, along with the terms and conditions as established by the broadcast property.

Separate from recent attempts in the marketplace to provide information to buyers of broadcast time and different from the concept of one more sales person in the field touted by other web-based companies, Maxagrid has truly blended the sales manager's goal of revenue management into an easy interface for buyers. This first step in strategic use of the benefits of the Internet for broadcast properties puts Maxagrid in a unique position to respond to the concerns in today's broadcast environment.
