Audit Log

The Audit Log File is the newest feature of the Advanced Revenue Management System traffic load. The log file provides important information it in an easy to read format. This will help ensure that traffic is loading properly, and if not, help diagnose why.

The first section, Exhibit A, provides summary information similar to that found in the last results window on the Traffic Load tab. Here one can find details regarding the time and date a traffic file was created and loaded. Additional information includes the format of the data loaded, time/units/both, which switches were active (default traffic model) and the number of traffic weeks that were loaded.

The next section in the log file has two components illustrated by the highlighted data, Exhibit B and C. Exhibit B displays all the traffic sections that have no corresponding link definitions, which means that Advanced Revenue Management System is not loading this data. This may mean one of two things, either there are duplicate links in the file with different codes or there have been links added since traffic was configured by Maxagrid. Contact Maxagrid Tech Support to assist in the correction.

Exhibit C displays the traffic sections that are linked to time segments in Advanced Revenue Management System. One can compare the data from Exhibit B to make sure that the information provided in both is accurate. For example, a station has different programs that run in the same time slot, but at different times of year. In this case, Advanced Revenue Management System would only load one set of links from the file and the other would be displayed in Exhibit B.

Exhibit D displays the log file breakdown by program and day on a weekly basis. Anywhere that a YES appears indicates that data was loaded for that program and NO indicates that no information was loaded. No data loaded can be an indication of several things, but an analysis of the traffic file against the Audit Log is necessary to determine the problem.
