Installing

The Maxagrid Interface is on the diskette received from Darts when purchased seperately by the station. It is loaded on your computer as a DARTS update.

  • Insert the update diskette into your diskette drive.
  • From the DARTS Main Menu select System Functions.
  • From the System Functions Menu select option 3, Process DARTS Update.
  • Follow (lie prompts until update is complete.

Generating File

The avails transfer procedure requires three steps:

  1. Starting the program
  2. Generating an interface file
  3. Transferring the interface file

Starting the Program

To begin the Maxagrid Interface, follow these steps:

  1. Return to the DOS prompt within your DARTS program directory.
  2. Type DARTMAX and press Enter.

Generating an Interface File

Select option 1 from the Maxagrid Interface menu, as shown below.

Next, define four features of tile information you want to transfer, as shown below.

	 Enter Avails Begin Date  (MMDDYY) 	(	) or 0 to Exit.

Priority Range to Include:	(0) to (20)

Enter Number of weeks to use (1?54) ....  (I)

Calculate Avails based on Seconds/Units [S]	(S/U)

The program will search your contract file and create an interface file containing avails in format required by Maxagrid. This file will be stored on your hard disk under a coded name for use in the Transfer Interface File option. When file creation is complete, the program will return to the Maxagrid Interface menu.

Transferring the Interface File

When you have generated an interface file, select option 2 from the Maxagrid Interface menu, as shown below.

The transfer will copy the interface file to die location required by Maxagrid. You designate the name and location of this file by answering prompts as shown below.

The File Name Created by the Download is: (MAXTRAF.1M)

Change the Name, Press Enter to Accept or Press < ESC > to Cancel Download.

We recommend you accept the default shown above. If you choose to change the name of this file,
please ensure that the new name conforms to DOS file naming conventions.

Enter path for which to copy transfer file: ( )

Enter EXIT or press < Esc > to cancel transfer.

The path you specify may lead to your bard disk, a network drive, or a diskette. In most cases, it will lead to your Maxagrid program directory. If Maxagrid is operated on the same computer as DARTS, the path would likely be:

C: \MAXAGRID\

Please ensure that your path ends with a backslash, as shown above.

Once you have provided the file name and path and pressed Enter, the file transfer is complete.
