The BIAS Inventory Analyzer traffic file provides more versatility and the ability to use the A.R.M.S application to even more benefit. To load the BIAS Inventory Analyzer file, in the Advanced Revenue Management System system, click on Yield\Inventory Controls\Booked Update. Select the correct station and then choose the Traffic Load tab.

On the Traffic Load page, there will be a few things to do, which mainly is checking the path to the data path. The data path is highlighted in the diagram. Maxagrid suggests that this traffic file is created using the same name and saved in the same location every time, for ease of use. Once the path is verified, click on the Process Traffic Data Import button.

While traffic is being loaded, a progress bar will display the progress of the load process. Upon completion, a window will display the import status of: Import Failed; Import Successful; or Import Successful with Warnings. Click on the View Audit Log button to view the log file and see what was or was not loaded. A Successful with Warnings load can still be a successful load, but the warnings indicate that some of the traffic links were not loaded or were not found in the traffic file. If links are missing, then these need to be added to the traffic file and then traffic needs to be loaded again. However, it could also mean that the traffic file is 13 weeks long, and that Advanced Revenue Management System is looking for a 26 week file, due to a setting.

The Audit Log contains a lot of vital information. The Import Run Date box on the diagram indicates the last data and time that traffic has been loaded. The File Run Date box shows the date and time that the traffic file being loaded was created. This should as up-to-date as possible, so that the data is correct.

The Import Basis box indicates the type of inventory data that is being loaded, whether units, time, or both. The Number Weeks Expected and the Number Traffic Links area indicates the number of expected weeks, and the number of traffic links, respectively, which are determined by the file that is loaded.

The second YELLOW highlighted box contains link information. If a new traffic link is added to the traffic file, but not updated in Maxagrid Advanced Revenue Management System, then it will be found in the area listed below. The list of links that were successfully loaded with the traffic link data. There may be several different errors here. Please call Maxagrid at 800-899-4743 for assistance in determining the cause of this error, if needed.
