TvLink Installation

The data and program installation are waiting on our website for download at:

http://www.maxagrid.com/clients/login.asp

You will need a login and password which will be supplied to you by the Maxagrid Support team. Send an e-mail to tech@maxagrid.com with your calls, location and credentials and one will be supplied to you. Once you have a login, you are ready to proceed to the steps below.

Download Instructions

1. Once you login, Click on the Download Updates link which will take you to the update window.
2. Click on your market folder ( cityname_callletters )
3. Click on the file ( callletters_data.exe ) and choose [Save].
4. Choose a location and click [Save].
5. Click the back arrow under the Folders title.
6. Click the TvLink Folder ( tvlink ).
7. Click the file ( tvlink_v1_xx_setup.exe ) and choose [Save].
8. Choose a location and click [Save].
9. This file is large (30 MB) and may take some time to download.
10. When the file is finished downloading, proceed to the next section titled Installation Instructions.

Installation Instructions

1. Double Click on the file ( callletters_data.exe ) downloaded in step 3 above.
2. A WinZip Self Extracting window will open, pointed at C:\Program Files\Maxagrid\TvLink Click UnZip. Don't change the default path unless necessary
3. A window should pop up stating that 6 files were unzipped successfully. Click [OK]
4. Close the WinZip Self Extractor Window.
5. Close all open programs and disable anti-virus that may be running.
6. Windows 2000 and Windows XP require Administrative Rights for the Install
7. Double click on the file ( tvlink_v1_xx_setup.exe ) downloaded in step 7 above.
8. The installation may require a reboot before you see the standard install wizard
9. Follow the prompts and choose a typical install.
10. The default install path is C:\Program Files\Maxagrid\TvLink.
11. Don't change the path unless necessary
12. When asked about the data files choose to search Local Drives (1st Option) This may take some time
13. When done searching the installer will present a list of data locations.
14. Make sure the path is selected and click Next.
15. When the installation routine finishes you will need to reboot the computer.
16. The Last task is loading Traffic to initialize the system. Contact us at 972-241-2110 for help loading traffic the first time. Make sure a fresh traffic file has been generated and you know where the Traffic export is located to expedite the process.
