Hardware/Software and Technical Requirements

The following is a copy of MAXAGRID's current published specifications relating to minimum hardware/software requirements for the System

1. Computer Requirements
        IBM PC compatible Pentium 233 or higher processor
        Windows 98, NT, 2000, or XP
        100 Meg of available hard drive storage (minimum)
        32 MB RAM (64 MB Recommended)
        VGA enhanced color monitor
        Windows compatible printer
        Microsoft compatible pointing device

2. Connectivity Requirements
        Internet Access at 56 kbs or higher.
        Internet Explorer 4.x or Netscape 4.x or higher
        E-mail account and ability to work with attached files in E-mail
        WebEx Plugin for Training and Support (Installed with Program Installation automatically)
        TCP/IP or IPX/SPX network (recommended)

3. Traffic System Connection
   Support for the Following Traffic systems is available: Columbine, BIAS (Inventory Analyser), Enterprise, VCI and Summit

Technical Skills Requirements
Minimum skills and knowledge required of any given technical contact. They should be comfortable and proficient with:

Windows 98/NT/2000/XP
Winzip or similar archival software capable of creating standard .zip files

Networking Skills
     How to create folders and directories
     How to alter the permissions of said folders to full access
     How to connect / Map Network drives
Windows Explorer
Cut/Copy/Paste practices
Experience with basic software installation
Creating shortcuts

E-mail
How to work with attachments and distribution of files through e-mail.

Experience with FTP over the Internet

The experienced technical contact greatly accelerates the pace for the implementation phases, reducing time involved in the data gathering phase and truncating the time for system installation and setup. Exposure to the workings of the station traffic system by the technical staff will also enhance the set up and utility of the Maxagrid applications.
